South Berwick, Maine- Lullabelle Ellis, 94, of South Berwick, Maine died Monday January 22,2018 at Edgewood Center with loving family by her side.

Born in Sister Bay, Wisconsin on July 28,1923, she was the daughter of Eric Peterson and Elda Nelson.

Lue, as she was known to by many, was a homemaker for many years. She later worked at Dover Shoe and Damart. Earlier in her life, Lue was well known for her baking; her whoopie pies and chocolate chip cookies were enjoyed by many. Gardening was also a passion of Lue's and she spent many hours in her vegetable and rock gardens. Later in life, Lue loved listening to her records of Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, and Elvis Presley. Family and staff at Edgewood became familiar with all of Lou's favorites.

Lue loved her family and especially enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. While at Edgewood Center Lou loved looking at her photos of her family members and hearing of her family's accomplishments big and small.

She is survived by her sister Berniece Sunstrom of Sister Bay, Wisconsin: daughter Cynthia and her husband Bob Hart of Branford, Connecticut; son Ernest Ellis of Rochester, NH; daughter Patricia and her husband Paul Burbank of York, Maine; her six grandchildren, Tiffany Shipman, Nathan Hart, Dana Ellis, and Bryan, Chad and Ashley Burbank; and ten great-grandchildren, Taylor, Allyson, and Ryan Shipman, William and Bradley Hart, Eric Ellis, Marina Legere and Amelia, Brody, and Lula Burbank. She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest, and sister Verda Seiler.

SERVICES: A celebration of Lullabelle's life will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday January 27, 2018, at J.S. Pelkey Funeral Home, 125 Old Post Rd, Kittery, ME.
