Magaly Celestina (Cisneros) Bauernfeind, age 73, of Spring Hill, Florida, and Derry, N.H., died on January 12, 2024, in Portsmouth, N.H. She was born in Camagüey, Cuba, on April 6, 1950, the daughter of Rolando and Rosa Cisneros, lovingly nicknamed "Lala" by her grandchildren.

Magaly graduated high school from Framingham Massachusetts High School and held several certifications in bilingual translation and biblical studies, with a certification as activities coordinator. She prided herself on her role as a devoted homemaker, wife, and mother.

Many viewed Magaly as a strong, courageous person of faith who utilized her experiences as an immigrant child in America to better those around her. As a loving woman with a servant's heart, she was a fierce defender of those in need with a loyalty that had no bounds.

In her later years, Magaly focused on being a devoted daughter and caregiver to her mother, Rosa Cisneros. She was selfless in prioritizing her mother's needs and well-being over her own.

Magaly is survived by her daughter, Marisa Christiansen of Kittery Point, Maine; her son and daughter-in-law, Michael & and Melissa Bauernfeind of Whitestone, New York; her grandchildren Jacob, Bennett, Colby, Marielle; her grand-dog Peanut; her brother Rolando (Rolly) Cisneros of Marlborough, Massachusetts, and his partner Paula; nephews James and his fiancée Dawn, Shawn and his wife Liz, Brian and niece, Brittany.

Friends and Family are invited to attend the burial & and remembrance service at the New Hampshire State Military Cemetery at 1 pm on Monday, April 15, 2024.
