After returning from his service he began his career at Pratt and Whitney in East Hartford CT. He worked for his entire career at the Willgoos Plant where he made many life long friends.
"Tex" was always dedicated to helping others. While at Pratt and Whitney he was elected numerous times as the IAM Local 1746 union rep and represented those in need. In recent years he delivered meals through the Meals on Wheels program and truly enjoyed spending time with his clients. Most recently he was a Disabled American Veteran Charity representative and went to Augusta to help many local Veterans get the benefits they were owed. He was very committed to hearing each Veteran's story and helping them receive benefits.
