Port Charlotte, Florida – Marcella Marie Philpott, 89, of Somersworth, New Hampshire passed away on January 19, 2017. She was born on October 14, 1927, in South Berwick, Maine; a daughter of Ambrose and Rose (Berry) Lessard.

Marcella was a graduate of Somersworth High School. Marcella then went on to work for many years as a real estate agent for Century 21 Real Estate. She was also a lifelong member of Women's Club in Somersworth, NH, and Port Charlotte, FL.

Marcella was predeceased by her loving husband of 41 years, Albert L. Philpott.

Survivors include; her son, Gary Philpott and his life partner Diane; her brother, George Lessard; sister Janette Allen; granddaughter, Lynn Volinsky and her husband Michael; nephews, David Allen and his wife Shireen, Ronald Lessard, Kenneth Lessard, and Michael Lessard; niece, Donna Lapointe and her husband Roland; great granddaughters,  Alexis and Abagale Volinsky; great nephews Ryan and Christopher Lapointe; and great niece, Mary Allen.

Services: A funeral service will be held at 11:30am at the Bernier Funeral Home, 49 South Street, Somersworth, NH, on Thursday, January 26, 2017. Care for the Philpott family has been entrusted to the Bernier Funeral Home.
