Kittery- Margaret E. (Place) Murray, 79 of Ledgewood Drive passed away July 4, 2025 in her home with family and friends at her side.

Born on October 24, 1945 she was a daughter of the late James Alvin. and Margaret E. (Burgess) Place. Peggy was raised in Eliot, attended local schools and graduated from Eliot High School

Peggy went on to a long career driving bus for various schools and businesses including Eliot Schools in the 1970's and Dover NH later in Life. She had a short break from driving while working in the City Clerks office in Dover.

Peggy loved time with her family and her infectious smile and laugh could lighten any room or brighten any day. She is survived by her sweetheart Jonathan Lawrence Keenan of Kittery and Mathuen, MA, children; Lisa Reardon of Nashua, NH, James Murray Jr. of Milton, NH and Cheryl Murray of Berlin, NH, nine beloved grandchildren , thirteen great grandchildren, sisters; Linda Bynion, Sue Milinski, and a brother Jerry Place, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, sisters; Betty Orr and Sylvia Busbar and her brother James Place.

Friends are invited to join her family on July 25, 2025 at 1pm in the JS Pelkey and Son Funeral Home 125 Old Post Road Kittery Maine 03904 to celebrate her life.
