Somersworth - Marguerite M. Dupuis born May 9,1934, passed away suddenly at Wentworth Douglas hospital on October 21, 2021, with family and friends by her side.
Marguerite was 87 years young. She loved life and her family. She was born to Benedict and Rose (Jacques) Nadeau; the oldest of four children. She grew up in Somersworth, NH living in her childhood home till she passed.
Marguerite graduated from St. Martin's school. Afterward, she worked in shoe shops for a brief time, before taking employment at General Electric, where she worked on the iron horse for many years. Marguerite took early retirement to stay home and take care of her mother, until Rose passed. She was very outgoing, with a love for going dancing with her girlfriends. She also loved the holidays and all of her family.
Marguerite was pre-deceased by her parents, Ben and Rose Nadeau; brother, Richard Nadeau; brother-in-law, Raymond Marcoux, granddaughter, Mary Rose White; and son-in-law, Alan White.
She is survived by her sister, Mary Jane Marcoux; brother, Robert Nadeau; her four children; daughters, Peggy and husband Bill Denis, Patty and husband Dick Sanfacon; sons, Norman Dupuis and Paul and wife Nareth Dupuis; grandchildren, Alanna White, Craig White, Scott Dean, Kellie Dean, Jason Warren, Paul Dupuis Jr, Joshua Dupuis, Christina Milliard, Katie Strickland, Haley Dupuis; great grandchildren, Brentley, Madison, Grayson, Aliyah, Trinity, MacKenzie, Tyler, Cody, Alexus, Faith; as well as one great-great grandson Jaxton Marcin. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Services: A time of visitation will take place Saturday, October 30, 2021 from 10-1030a at Bernier Funeral Home, 49 South St, Somersworth, NH. A funeral mass will follow at 11a, at St Ignatius of Loyola Parish St. Martin Church, 120 Maple Ave, Somersworth, NH. Funeral will follow at the Mt. Cavalry Cemetery in Somersworth, NH. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Marguerite's name to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or the Danny Thomas Foundation. Care for the Dupuis family has been entrusted to the Bernier Funeral Home.
