Marion (Nelson) Eldredge died January 7, 2022 after a period of failing health.  She was born in Portsmouth, NH on July 25, 1924.  She was the daughter of Stanley and Carrie Nelson.  She was a graduate of Portsmouth High School, Class of 1942.

She was a lifetime resident of Portsmouth, NH and Eliot, ME.

Marion was employed during World War ll at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and later worked for Granite State Fire Insurance Company.  She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Eliot, ME and served as a volunteer in several organizations in Eliot.  Her greatest pleasure was her family and watching her grandchildren grow.

She is the widow of Thomas Eldredge and they enjoyed 53 years of marriage.  She is survived by her son Brian (Susan) Eldredge and daughter Judy Mills.  She has two grandchildren, Michael Eldredge and Laura Sautter (Robert).   Step-grandchildren include Melissa (Mark) Bedard and Michelle Faria.  She has two great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.  She also left several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister, Priscilla Barbour (1962) and son-in-law, Richard Mills (2017).

Due to Covid, a celebration of her life will be held on Saturday My 21st at 1 pm in Mt Pleasant Cemetery with a luncheon to follow .
