York- Mark Scott Goodwin, 38 of York died on June 25, 2016 at York Hospital following a courageous hard fought two year battle against esophageal cancer.
Born in Hollywood Florida on November 12, 1977 to Willard L. and Clarissa G. (Dore) Goodwin.
Mark was raised in and attended schools in Eliot including attending Marshwood High School.
He and his loving wife Brandi Lee (Gray) Goodwin have enjoyed a sixteen year relationship and made their home in York with their daughter Shyanne P. Goodwin.
Mark had a career for many years in the glass business, working currently for Ipswich Bay Glass as a glazier and glass installer.
His first and greatest love was spending time with his daughter, they both enjoyed time spent volunteering at Zoo Creatures in Plaistow, caring for the reptiles at the center. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and cycling.
Mark is survived by his loving wife Brandi of York, their daughter Shyanne of York, his parents Clarissa Goodwin of Kittery, father Willard Goodwin and his wife Leora of Gorham, Maine, sister Mary A. Robles and her husband John Robles of Somersworth, NH, brother David L. Goodwin and his wife Christine Goodwin of Kittery, sister Deborah J. Ellison of Ft. Bragg, NC, In laws David B and Linda Gray as well as a number of other brother and sister in laws, uncle Timothy Dore and a number of other aunts and uncles, as well as several neices and nephews who adored him as their favorite "Uncle Markey". He was predceased by his mother in law Lorna A. Gray and his aunt Carol M. Sullivan.
Friends may visit with Mark's family on Thursday from 2-4 pm in The JS Pelkey Funeral Home 125 Old Post Road Kittery Maine 03904, where a memorial service will be celebrated at 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a college fund for his daughter Shyanne to be held at: Kennebunk Savings Bank c/o Brandi Goodwin, 34 Caincrest Road, York, ME 03909.
