Durham, NH - Maureen Ann (St. Laurent) Foss, 80, of Durham, NH passed away peacefully on December 29, 2021, with family by her side. Maureen was born to Benoit and Mary (O'Malley) St. Laurent on October 16, 1941, in Somersworth, NH.

She graduated from Somersworth High School in 1959 then pursued her goal of becoming a Registered Nurse and graduated from Sacred Heart Nursing School in Manchester, NH in 1962.

Maureen loved being a Nurse. With her compassion and kindness, she was able to help and provide comfort to those in need.  She started her career working at Wentworth Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH and after a family move to Pittsfield, MA when Stephen began working for General Electric, she continued with nursing at a Hospital in Pittsfield. She then worked as a private duty nurse and at the end of her career worked in Hospice.

She also devoted much of her time at home taking care of her three children. Some of her favorite pastimes we're playing cards with friends, shopping, reading, crocheting Afghans for everyone and mittens for the little ones. She enjoyed traveling and went on several cruises with her husband Stephen.

Maureen's absolute favorite thing was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She just loved taking care of them when they were little and looked forward to family get-togethers. The summers were special times with family gatherings on Great East Lake in East Wakefield, NH.

Maureen is predeceased by both of her parents, Benoit and Mary.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Stephen D. Foss, son, James Foss of Sedona, AZ, son, Kevin Foss of S. Egremont, MA, daughter Kathleen Puchulu of Groton, MA, her eight grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, David St. Laurent and Father Daniel St. Laurent.

Services: A memorial service will be held on January 8th, 2022, at 10:30AM at Holy Trinity Church at 404 High Street Somersworth, NH. The family will greet friends at the church from 10AM until the time of service.

Due to the pandemic the family kindly requests that masks are worn at the service.
