Obituary

Somersworth- Maurice P. Lizotte, 81 of Somersworth, died on April 30, 2016 at Wentworth Douglass Hospital with his family by his side.
Maurice was born January 22, 1935, in Rochester NH. He is the son of the late Wilfrid and Angelina (Vaillancourt) Lizotte. He attended local schools, including Spaulding High School.
He and his loving wife Beatrice ( Deschenes ) Lizotte made their home in Somersworth where they raised their family and were active members of St. Martin's Church where he served on many committees over the years.
Early in life Maurice was a foreman for several shoe shops in the local area and worked buying and selling vehicles. He worked for many years at Simplex as an inspector before working for a time at Harris Graphics in Dover and later part time for Feliciano Limousine. Moe was a dedicated and beloved member of the family at the JS Pelkey and Bernier Funeral Homes for many years. He enjoyed his friends at the morning crew at Burger King and loved the staff and friends at Dunkin Donuts at the Shell Station in Dover. He was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed all the New England teams and was a regular fan at the Portland Sea Dogs, known by all the staff and many of the players over the years. Moe always looked forward to spending time at the City of Dover Fire Department where his son- in-law Craig worked.

He was predeceased by his mother, father, sister and grandson Nicholas Smith.

Maurice is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Beatrice of Somersworth, daughters Kellie and her husband Brad Smith and their children Kayla and Hunter living in Yorktown, VA; and Selena and her husband Craig Croteau and their children Julia and Nathan living in Dover, NH, as well as many nieces and nephews. He loved his family and spending time with them.
Calling hours will be on Friday May 6, 2016 from 4-7pm at Bernier Funeral Home 49 South Street Somersworth, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday May 7, 2016 at 10 am at Holy Trinity Church 404 High Street Somersworth, NH. Online condolences may be made by visitingwww.bernierfuneralhome.net. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory RSDSA (Complex Regional Paine Syndrome 99 Cherry Street Milford, Ct 06460. Care for the Lizotte family has been entrusted to the Bernier Funeral Home.
