May Arlene Wallace May 28, 1937 – January 8, 2025

May Arlene Wallace, of Berwick, Maine, passed away peacefully at York Hospital on January 8, 2025, with her daughter by her side. She was 87 years old.

Born on May 28, 1937, in Bath, Maine, May was the daughter of the late Herbert and Arlene Griffin.

May is survived by her husband, Cary Wallace; her children, Shari Beane and Mark Wallace; her cherished grandchildren, Emma and Jared Beane; her sister, Helen Beale; and her sister-in-law, Jody Griffin.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Carroll, Earl, and Ronald Griffin.

May worked as a secretary at the First Parish Federated Church in South Berwick for many years. Her dedication to the church extended beyond her professional role—she was an active volunteer at the church's thrift shop and food pantry, always eager to lend a helping hand to those in need.

May found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved taking walks, knitting dishcloths that she generously shared with friends and family, having coffee with the girls, and enjoying visits to ice cream shops with her daughter. A loving grandmother and caring friend, May touched the lives of many with her warmth and kindness.
