Obituary

New Durham- Keevan Michael D, 67 of Brackett Road died on March 17, 2025 at Wentworth  Douglass Hospital following a period of failing health.

Born in Dover New Hampshire on May 11, 1957, he was a son of the Late LeRoy and Barbara (Staples Keevan). Michael was raised in and attended South Berwick Schools, graduating from Marshwood High School.

While a youngster he worked at Rideout Hardware and later and later as a millwright at both Seabrook Station and Maine Yankee Nuclear Power Plants in Wiscassett. He closed out his work career after many years with Sig- Sauer.

Active in his community, Mike spent many years serving the New Durham Fire Department attaining the rank of Lieutenant.

He was an avid New England Sports team enthusiast especially enjoying the Red Sox, and watching the Pats with his sister Ann on their phones. He greatly enjoyed Ice fishing especially at Merry Meeting and Lake Winnipesaukee. As his illness progressed taking rides with his wife and enjoying the view at Winnipesaukee brought him tremendous joy.

Micheal is survived by his loving family, his wife loving Eveline, his son Joseph M. Keevan and his daughter Abigail Marie, a sister Ann Keevan, three brothers; James and Timothy Keevan and Patrick and his wife Debra Keevan as well as numerous nieces and nephews and his fire department family. He was predeceased by his parents and brother John.

Friends are invited to join his family celebrating his life on Monday March 24, 2025 at 10:30 am in St. Martin Church in Somersworth, NH. Burial will follow  in St. Michael's Cemetery.
