Dover – Michael P. Whitney, 41, of Dover, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 31, 2017.

He was born on September 3, 1975 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire a son of Ronald and Jacqueline (Ronco) Whitney of South Berwick, Maine. Michael attended South Berwick Schools and Marshwood High School.

Michael had work as a prep cook for various local restaurants; was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed playing the drums.

Besides his parents of South Berwick, survivors include two daughters, Alissa Whitney of Sanford and Anneka Whitney of Dover; his fiancé, Jessica Turril of Dover; brothers, Andy of Dover, Joseph of Ossipee, Anthony and his wife, Felicia of Wolfeboro, and Keith and his fiancé Chelsea of Derry; aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Services: A memorial visitation will be held from 2-4pm on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the J.S. Pelkey Funeral Home, 125 Old Post Road, Kittery, ME. Interment will be held in the spring. Flowers will be accepted.
