Obituary

Sanford, ME - Nancy D. (Beckert) Muchemore,72 , passed on February 13, 2021 with family by her side at Pinnacle Health & Rehab in Sanford, ME.

Nancy is survived by her ex-husband David W. Muchemore of Wells, ME; her daughters Tonya Muchemore, and Samantha Muchemore-Allen and her husband Scot Allen; her grandchildren Skye (Muchemore-Allen) Herrick and her husband Dale, Steele Muchemore-Allen and Shado Muchemore-Allen; her great-grandchildren Logan Herrick and Claire Herrick; her brothers Brad Beckert and his wife Georgie of Jacksonville, FL and Randy Beckert and his wife Cheryl of Eliot, ME; along with her nephews John Beckert and his wife Dinese, and Glen Beckert and his wife Iliana, and her nieces Tricia Fernandez and her husband Luis, and Kristi Coakley and her husband Michael; great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins; her dogs Shrek, Rusty and Grace; and her cat Stormy. She is predeceased by her brother Gary Beckert of North Carolina, her father John H. Beckert of Kittery (and for a brief time Limerick), ME and her mother M. Evelyn (Pierce) Beckert of Kittery, ME.

Nancy was born September 15, 1948. She was a 1966 Graduate from Traip Academy.  Nancy was a Girl Scout Troop Leader, worked at Booth Fisheries for a time, and owned and operated Eliot Feeds and Needs in Eliot, ME prior to moving to Bartlesville, OK in 1984 with her two daughters, where Nancy worked at Phillips Petroleum headquarters in Bartlesville, OK until moving back to Maine in 2000 to care for her father.   She retired from the York County Superior Courthouse in Alfred, ME in 2018.

Nancy enjoyed driving around the countryside, trips to DQ, reading mystery novels, and doing word search puzzles.  She also loved family bbq's, and spending time with her dogs.  Nancy was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
