Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Nancy Jean Murray, who passed away on May 10, 2023, at the age of 91, surrounded by her family.

Nancy was born on August 14th, 1931, in Belmont, MA. She married John (Jack) Murray in 1954 and moved to Sudbury, MA in 1960, where they raised their 5 children. In 1988, she and Jack moved to the New Hampshire Seacoast where she spent the rest of her life.

Nancy, better known lovingly as Nan or Nanie, constantly surrounded herself with her family. That was her passion. A day did not go by without Nan either seeing someone in her family, calling them or texting them. Her love extended to all those who knew her outside of her immediate family as well, making them feel like sons, daughters, and grandchildren. She will be remembered for her infectious smile and spunky personality.

Nan is survived by her sons, John Murray and his wife Linda, Dave Murray, Mike Murray and his Wife Becky; her daughters, Jodi Broom and her husband Chris, and Mia Murray and her partner Chris. She had thirteen amazing grandchildren, Christopher, Nancy, Joanna, Jake, Jack, Erik, Kelsey, Tony, Nick, Katie, Mikey, Kaylee and Jaimie. She also was blessed to welcome seven great-grandchildren, Jackson, Georgia, Layla, Rory, Murray, Charlie, and Christopher lll. They will all miss their Nanie dearly.

Together we deeply mourn her passing. She leaves with us the ability to appreciate life and live in the moment. She taught us to be thankful for what we have, the people in our lives, and the times we spend together.

Goodnight Nan, we are all better for having shared our lives with you.
