Obituary

Natalie Pearl (Blake) Lewis was born in Edgecomb, ME, to Margaret (McKay) and Kenneth Blake on March 18, 1937. She graduated from Eliot High School in 1955. She married Hartley E. Lewis on October 27, 1956, in Cape Neddick Baptist Church in Maine. They made their home in York, ME, and raised three children: Diane, Kenneth, and David. They traveled in a camper to Vermont, Niagara Falls, Nova Scotia, and Cape Cod. Hartley passed away on March 13, 1992.

Natalie worked as a shoe stitcher at the South Berwick Shoe Factory for 35 years. After she retired, she worked at Suds & More with her son Kenneth. She belonged to the VFW Axillary in York. She loved to knit and enjoyed knitting unique sweaters for her grandchildren and squares for hospice blankets. She also liked reading, puzzles, sewing, and other crafts. She loved holidays, making big dinners, wrapping presents for everybody, and sending cards for birthdays and Christmas. She was a big fan of the Red Sox.

Natalie is survived by her daughter, Diane Lewis; her son, David Lewis, and wife Diane; her five grandchildren, Sarah Yorke, Anthony Yorke ii, Alisha Phipps, Kenneth Yorke, and Devon Lewis; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; her sister, Jeanette Dixon; her brothers, Gordon Blake and John Blake, and many nieces and nephews, and longtime friend, Betty Hanson. She is predeceased by her husband, Hartley, Son, Kenneth, and brother, Bernard Blake.

The family would like to thank the staff at Durgin Pines for all their work and support.
