Norman R. Leavitt passed away on Saturday, July 1, at Pinnacle Health and Rehab in North Berwick surrounded by his family.

He was born in Eliot, Maine on January 31, 1920 to Fred and Louise (Kramer) Leavitt. Norman served in the Army Air Corp. during W.W. II. In 1946 he married Alice (Smith) and together they raised five daughters in Eliot. After his retirement he and his wife moved to Madison, Maine where they joined the Centenary U.M. Church and the East Madison Grange where they both volunteered in many areas.

Norman is predeceased by his parents, nine siblings, his wife, daughters Sharon Crawford and Norma Leavitt.

He is survived by daughters Beverly (John) Dow of Eliot, Linda (Drew) of Chatham, N.H. and Kathy (Roger) Hirst of Salyersville, Ky.
