Norman
Perron
Aug 20, 1934 — Jun 20, 2018
Somersworth - Norman R. Perron, 83, died peacefully surrounded by his family at his home on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Somersworth on August 20, 1934, he was the son of George and Claire Perron.
He was blessed with a large family, survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Rita, daughter Denise and her husband John; son Jim and his wife Maureen; son Bob and his wife Deb; daughter Lisa and her husband Mark; grandchildren Jesse, Matt, Jake, Shane, Mallory, Christine and Rachel; sisters Lucy and Donna, brother David and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, sister Janet and brother Ronald.
Stormin' Norman was well known for his tell-tale whistle and his overly sarcastic sense of humor. He served his country for 2 years overseas as a member of the Army. After a 40 year career at GE, he enjoyed a long retirement of daily crossword puzzles, watching the Red Sox and Patriots and annual family trips to the Mt. Washington hotel to see the Glenn Miller orchestra. But what he enjoyed most of all was spending time with his family and friends, vacationing at the beach, lake and mountains, weekend cookouts and holiday gatherings.
The family is very grateful to Dr. Civiello and the staff of the Seacoast Cancer Center for their constant and compassionate care over the past 5 years.
