Obituary

Our hearts are heavy as we announce the passing of our husband, father, and grandfather Oscar M. Wilkins Jr. He left his earth on Friday February 27, 2026, at 75 years old. Born at home in Rowley, Massachusetts to Oscar and Harriet Wilkins on October 30, 1950. He was the youngest and only son of four children. He was predeceased by both parents, sister Marjorie "Tootie" Eiras and her husband Joe, and their son Joey Jr., his sister Helen Dowing, her husband Russell, and their son Rusty.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years Jean (Sheehan) Wilkins, their daughter Kristen Leighton and granddaughter Kyla, daughter Kim Caruso, her husband Larry, and his step granddaughters Nicole and Margaret Caruso.  His also survived by sister Harriet "Peanut" Perley, her husband Neal, and their children. He also leaves behind many sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews.

After high school, Oscar was a proud member of our National Guard. He served honorably for six years. He and Jean eloped and were married during his time in the National Guard with her sister, his mother, and a fellow Guard member as his best man.

Oscar started working in waste management during his teenage years. He started and built many successful companies throughout his lifetime, the latest being Shipyard Waste Solutions in Eliot, ME. He has made many close friends through business that have followed him through the years. He cherished all of these friendships and business relationships greatly.

Oscar's wish was that we didn't hold services. We will hold a celebration of life at a later time. In lieu of flowers please make donations to an organization very close to him St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
