Pamela H. Smith, 70, formally of Lady Lake, Florida, and York Maine, passed away peacefully after a long illness, on February 2, 2023, at Gosnell Hospice of Southern Maine.

Pamela was born in Washington, DC, to Thomas and Alice Selby. She was predeceased by her loving husband Alan Smith; sister Mary K. Beach; brothers Bobby, Tommy, Scott, and Jeffrey Selby.

Pamela moved to York in her early 20's, where she met and married her husband of 27 years, Alan Smith. Together they owned and operated York's Royal Limousine Service. In 2012, Pamela reunited with an old love, Harold (Skip) Hannah. They resided in New Harbor, Maine before moving permanently to The Villages in Lady Lake Florida where they got engaged. Skip passed away in 2014.

Pamela is survived by her daughter Michelle Small, her grandson Torey Hines, (her greatest joy), his wife Libby Hines, her sisters Lois Umphries and her husband Johnny of Maryland, Sheila Campbell and her husband Ron of Virginia, Ramona Bourque and her husband Rich of Delaware, Vicky Walsh and her husband Bob of Ohio, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and her beloved cat Missy.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Safe Haven Humane Society to honor Pamela's love of rescue cats https://www.safehavenhumanesociety.org/ .  Care for the Smith family has been entrusted to the JS Pelkey & Son Funeral Home.
