Obituary

Patricia Ann Misner (1941–2026) was a dedicated educator and community member. Born in Nashua, New Hampshire, she was a gifted student who graduated from Wellesley College and earned a Master's degree in teaching from Saint Mary's College. Her career as a teacher took her from Long Island to Los Angeles and finally to San Diego, where she settled in 1968 with her husband, John Misner.

In her San Diego home of Vista Del Cerro, she was an active participant in tennis and bridge clubs and served as a docent at the Museum of San Diego History. A lover of the arts and culture, she relished theater, museums, and film. Pat also cherished her lifelong friendships, particularly with her Wellesley classmates, and remained a committed Democrat until the end of her life.

Pat is survived by her husband John Misner, San Diego, California and her brother Arnold Putnam and his wife Josephine of Kennebunkport, Maine.  She was predeceased by her brother Bob Putnam of Allentown, Pennsylvania.
