Patricia Kathleen Mahoney Small, 83, of Kittery, Maine, passed away on May 10, 2026. She was born in Wesley, Maine, on July 2, 1942, to John Joseph Mahoney and Mildred Hawkins Mahoney.

Patricia spent her entire life in Maine and was a dedicated teacher in the Kittery school system for 33 years.  During summer vacations, she loved traveling throughout the United States with her family, watching Red Sox games and reading to relax.

To  friends and family Patricia was known as Patty or Mimi. Mimi  was fiercely devoted to her family and enjoyed family parties, cookouts, and card games that lasted well into the night. In her later years, she became a hardcore NASCAR fan, enjoyed the antics of her cats at home, and continued to read book after book.

Mimi was the beloved wife of Albert Small for 56 wonderful years. Together they built a life centered on love, laughter, and family.

She is survived by her husband, Albert Small; her three children, Lea Warner, Joseph Small, and Vincent Small, along with their families; as well as extended family members and many dear friends.

Visiting hours will be held at Pelkey Funeral Home on May 18, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A private family burial will take place on a later date at Brooks Cemetery in Eliot, Maine. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude's hospital.
