York-Patricia Mae Storer, 81 of 117 Long Sands Road in York passed away on June 14, 2019 at York Hospital following a period of failing health.
Born on October 2, 1937 in Portsmouth, NH to the late Merton B and Frances H. (Shea) Greeley. She was raised in Portsmouth also in Onset, Massachusetts on Cape Cod for a short period.
Pat worked for Hugo Marconi and as a waitress for Hank and Frans restaurant in Portsmouth. She also worked at Jack Hassett's music and Hallmark Store in Portsmouth. While working at Hank and Frans, she met her future husband Edward W. Storer of Kittery Point. She and Ed raised their children on Haley road in Kittery til 1970 and then to Brave Boat Harbor Road in Kittery Point. After she married she sold AVON for over forty years . Once moving to Kittery Point she was a well known and loved employee of Frisbees Market in the Point for over fifteen years. Pat was also a girl scout leader for Troop 396 in Kittery Point. After joining the American Legion Post 56 in York , Pat became the historian for several years taking much pride in her service. She sold many tickets for dinners and chicken shoots.
Pat had an adventurous side to her ! She enjoyed a trip to Spain In 1975, several trips to Newport, RI to visit her son and his family sometimes it was just for supper! She and Kathy traveled a lot together. They went on bus trips , one to Montreal to see Neil Diamond in concert and one to Washington, DC to see the cherry blossoms. They went on five trips to Disney World in Florida and once on the Disney Cruise line to the Bahamas, plus numerous trips to Portland to go have nails done, play scrabble or just watch TV and spend the night. They scrap booked, played bingo and also went to Chicken Shoots together.
Pat was predeceased by her parents, as well as Donald Spaulding her mothers second husband, sisters Peggy Gum, Frances Lajoie, Diane McAskill, Denise Greeley, Donald Spaulding, and Merton "Mickey" Greeley.
She was like her moms second husband; she didn't believe in "step children " they were all the same as the rest. Pat is survived by her children; Marianne A. Storer of Concord, Patrick" Mike" Storer of York, and Kathy M. Blaisdell and her husband Doug of York, grandchildren Adam ( Shelly-Anne) Storer, Joe ( Jehan ) Storer, Nick ( Amber ) Storer, Ryan ( Danielle ) Davis, Danielle " Dani" Davis, Jacob " Jay " Davis, Jennifer ( David ) Banvillle, Chris ( Stephanie ) Blaisdell, and Amy ( Jalissa) Blaisdell as well as twenty great grandchildren ranging from seventeen to two years old.
Friends are invited to visit with Pats family on June 22, 2019 from 10am to noon in the JS Pelkey and Son Funeral Home 125 Old Post Road Kittery, Maine 03904, where a memorial service will be celebrated at noon. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.jspelkeyfuneralhome.com . In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society or a charity of ones choice.
