Patricia A. Tyo

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia “Pat” A. Tyo, 69, on August 11, 2026, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston, MA, following a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.

Pat was born on February 4, 1957, to parents Robert J. Lefebvre, Sr. and Jeannette M. (Lapointe) Lefebvre Gould. She grew up in the “Little Canada” neighborhood, also known as the “Brickyard” of Somersworth, NH. She attended Holy Trinity School and Somersworth High School.

Pat made many friends in the companies where she had worked. She was employed at Janco, Rollinsford; Mayflower Moving Co., Portsmouth; Dr. O’Connell’s Pain Care Center, Somersworth; and Salmon Falls Family Healthcare, Somersworth, from where she retired when her illness prevented her from continuing to work.

Pat was a wonderful cook. Her Whoopie Pies were out of this world, and she could make light, flaky pie crust from scratch without a written recipe: a skill she learned from her grandmother, Katherine Tarmey Lefebvre.

Pat’s children and grandchildren brought happiness and meaning to her life.

Pat was predeceased by her parents and many of her close friends from childhood and the workplace.

Surviving Pat are her three sons: Christopher F. Emmons; Dennis W. Emmons, Jr.; and Jeffrey R. Emmons. She will be missed by her five grandchildren: Christopher, Saharra, Bayleigh, Brandon, and Brooke. Also surviving Pat are her siblings: Rev. Robert J. Lefebvre, Jr.; Michael R. Lefebvre and his wife, Kathy; and Janet M. McKay. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and one remaining uncle.

A memorial service will be held at a later date after which her cremains will be interred in the family plot at Mount
