Obituary

Dover – Paul R. Dumais, 81, formerly of Somersworth, passed away on Monday, January 18, 2016 at the Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover.

He was born on May 25, 1934, a son of Paul and Marie-Ange (Gaudreau) Dumais.

Paul served in the United States Army and was formerly employed at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, retiring after 28 years.

Paul enjoyed his involvement in all the veteran's activities at the Riverside Rest Home.

His wife, Lorraine (Guilmette) Dumais and a sister-in-law, Doris (Lacasse) Dumais, predeceased him.

Survivors include a brother, Valmore Dumais of Somersworth; niece, Claire Guilmette and her husband, Arthur of Somersworth, nephew, David Dumais and his wife, Darlene of Rochester, nephew, Daniel Dumais and his wife Tracey of New Durham, nephew, Martin Dumais of Milton, and niece, Christine Tiernan and her husband, Kristopher of South Berwick, ME.

Paul's family would like to thank the staff at the Riverside Rest Home for the skilled, compassionate and loving care that was extended to Paul over the years and to the staff at the Hyder Family Hospice House over the last few days.

Services: A time of visitation will be held from 10-11am on Friday, January 22, 2016 at St. Martin's Church, Maple Street, Somersworth with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated immediately following at 11AM. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, in the spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice and/or to the Hyder Family Hospice House, 285 County Farm Road, Dover, NH 03820.
