Dover - Paul J. Joncas, 86, of 30 Holiday Drive, Dover, NH passed away, Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Watson's Field Assisted Living in Dover.

Born in Salmon Falls, NH (Rollinsford, NH), son of Emile and Melinda (Lacasse) Joncas, resided in Rollinsford until 2010. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean conflict and served twice in Vietnam. He retired from US Army on January 31, 1970 after 21 years of service. He was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, Good Conduct Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Korean Service Medal, Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation.

He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Rollinsford and served as lector. Life-time member of Martel-Roberge Post #47 American Legion in Rollinsford, and Post Commander four times. Life-time member of VFW Post 5744 South Berwick, ME. He was a member of the Our Lady of the Rosary Council #807 Knights of Columbus and the Rev. Thomas E. Riley Assembly #633 Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus. He served as Grand Knight and Faithful Navigator Respectively. He was also a Life Time Member of the Military Officers Association of America.

Members of his family include one sister, Rhenda Pinkham of Rochester, NH.; three nieces, Elaine Bonnell her husband, John of Berwick, ME., Patricia Collins her husband, Gary of Berwick, ME., and Doreen Pelkey and her husband; three nephews, Armand LePage, Jr. his wife, Peggy of Franklin, NH., Daniel LePage and his wife, Debbie of Berwick, ME. Richard Joncas, Jr his wife, Donna of Lebanon, ME.
