Obituary

Somersworth - Pauline M Bowley, 72 of Blackwater Road passed away peacefully December 9, 2017 at the Hyder Family Hospice House with her loving family by her side following a six month battle against cancer, just two weeks shy of her 73 birthday.

Pauline was born on December 23, 1944 in Val-Alain, Quebec Canada a daughter of Paul E and Margaret ( Michaud) Desrosiers.

Pauline moved with her family to Somersworth when she was seven years old and she spent her life raising her family in Somersworth. Pauline loved her family especially her children and her adored grandchildren. One of her strongest attributes was being a very committed person. Until her retirement less than a year ago she spent fifty two years in the insurance industry with over twenty years at the Bernier Insurance Agency in Rochester. She will be sadly missed by all.

She is survived by her committed husband who was by her side until the very end Ralph Bowley, her sons Raymond "Sonny" Vermette Jr and his partner Jennifer Copp of Rollinsford, Steven Vermette and his wife Corinne of Dover, Seth Bowley of Rochester, Kevin Bowley of South Berwick, Scott Bowley of Salt Lake City, her beloved grandchildren Molly "the Moll" Vermette, Alexa "applesauce" Vermette, Nadia Bowley, "Scotty B" Bowley, Gary, Sean and Adrianna Bowley and Scott Bowley Jr., her sister Claudette Holbrook and Partner Sid Grant of Winterhaven Florida, as well as two nieces Christine Mossa and Lorrie LeBlanc.

Her family is thankful for the wonderful care and compassion by the staff at Wentworth Douglass Hospital and Hyder Family Hospice House shown to Pauline and her family. In addition, the family would also like to thank Regina Bowley for her help and support.

At Pauline's Request Service will be private, online condolences may be made by visiting www.bernierfuneralhome.net . In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the Friends of Hyder Family Hospice House or the American Cancer Society. Care for the Bowley family has been entrusted to the Bernier Funeral Home.
