Eliot- Preston Samuel Pritchett, 54, passed away in his home with loved ones on June 14, 2021 following a brief and courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Portsmouth, NH on February 3, 1967 to Linda Martin Pritchett of Shapleigh and Preston C. Pritchett, Jr. of Berwick.

He lived in his childhood home in Eliot with his beloved companion, Julie "Charli " Holt. Known as "Pritch" to Charli and friends and as "Uncle" to his niece and two nephews, Preston was a thoughtful partner, engaged father and uncle, loved son and brother, and a good friend to many.

A lifelong resident of Eliot, Preston graduated from Marshwood High School in 1985. He worked for L. W. Morgridge and Son. He spent time in the Navy and later started his own business: Pritchett's Home Improvement. He was continually assisting people on the side with his many skills as a craftsman. A "Junkyard Artist" at heart, Pritch was always thinking of ways to give new expression to old things.

He shared his enthusiasm for creativity by making sculptures for friends and family. In his free time, Preston loved to go to the hunting camp with his brother, Chris. He also enjoyed spending time in his yard making it interesting and beautiful. At the time of his passing, he was working out the details for his latest creative project. He never ran out of new ideas. Family members describe him as wise and gentle, but unafraid to speak his mind and stick to his convictions. He was known for going out of his way to help others. This thoughtfulness and care also extended to many animals that he took in over the years.

Preston is survived by his parents; domestic partner, Julie " Charli" Holt; son, Jesse Raymond Josupeit and wife, Jennifer; son, Matthew Hayes Pritchett; brother, Christopher A. Pritchett and spouse, Pam; niece, Molly Pritchett; nephew, Cody Pritchett and wife, Taylor; nephew, Steven Thompson; great nephew, Elias Christopher Pritchett; great niece, Riley Steiner; aunt, Beverly Hooper and husband, Bob; aunt, Patricia Pritchett Knight and husband, David; uncle Robert A. Searles, Jr. and wife Christine; cousin, Heath Hooper and sons, Jaiziah and Noah; cousin Jason Hooper and wife, Cheri and daughter, Edith; cousin Sam David Knight and wife, Ashleigh and sons, Luke and Andrew; cousin Molly Knight and son, Noah and his wife, Adi.

Friends are invited to visit Preston's family on July 15, 2021 from noon til 2pm in the funeral home.  A memorial service will be held following visiting at 2pm in the JS Pelkey and Son Funeral Home 125 Old Post Road Kitery Maine 03904.
