Priscilla D. Boyle, 88, of Somersworth, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026, at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Somersworth, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Lillian (Renaud) Fournier. Priscilla was raised locally, attending St. Martin Academy, and graduated from Somersworth High School with the class of 1955.

Following high school, Priscilla pursued her passion for helping others, graduating with a degree in nursing from the Catherine Labouré School of Nursing in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1958. Early in her career, she brought comfort to many families as a labor and delivery nurse at Carney Hospital and St. Margaret's Hospital.

In 1966, she married Martin P. Boyle. The couple lived in Boston, where they welcomed their daughter, Joni, in 1967. They later lived in Holbrook, Massachusetts, before Priscilla returned home to New Hampshire in 1975. She went on to dedicate 29 years as a registered nurse at Seacoast Diabetes and Internal Medicine in Dover before retiring in 2006.

Priscilla was an active parishioner at St. Martin's Parish, where she was a staple of both the bereavement and breakfast committees. In her free time, she was a talented seamstress who loved quilting and crafting specialized outfits for her granddaughters and their many dolls. An avid card player, she cherished the camaraderie and friendly competition shared with her robust community of friends.

Above all, Priscilla adored her family. She was her granddaughter's biggest fan and could always be counted on to show up for every sporting event, school concert, or musical production. She will be remembered for her quick wit and kindness to everyone she met. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her, especially her daughter, Joni Ferland, and her husband, Bill, of Somersworth, and her granddaughters, Tori (and her husband, Daniel) and Haley (and her husband, Aaron).

Priscilla was predeceased by her husband, Martin P. Boyle, who passed away in 1975, and by her sister, Joan Fournier.

A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 1 p.m. at St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Somersworth.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
