Obituary

Raymond F Gagner, 75 of Miami Beach Florida died suddenly on September 2, 2023 in Miami Beach. Born in Wareham, Massachusetts on February 13, 1948 he was a son of the late Raymond and Beatrice (Trefethen) Gagner and attended local schools graduating from Wareham High School with the class of 1966.

Following high school, he served his country in the United States Army National Guard serving in Vietnam. After serving his country he joined his parents in Kittery working at the family restaurant -The Weathervane Seafood Restaurant.

He began a long career in public safety first with the Kittery Police Department and for many years until his retirement with the Maine State Police Drug Unit.

Raymond was a devoted grandfather and loved spending time with his grandkids.  Fishing and sitting at the beach or at the pool were his favorite pastimes. He would always lend a hand or give advice, sometimes whether it was needed or not.

He is survived by his children; a daughter Lisa and her husband Ryan Normand, and their children; Kylie, Hannah and Christopher with his wife Pam and great granddaughter Freya Rose. A son Seth and his wife Jaime Gagner and their children; Dylan and his wife Alexandria, Kaylah and Madison, his partner of many years Ann Cox and her children Jonathan and his wife Kara, Matthew and his wife Tiffany and Timothy and grandchildren Brenden, Ellie, Macie and Charles.

Friends are invited to visit with his family on Tuesday from 11am until 2pm in the JS Pelkey and Son Funeral Home 125 Old Post Road Kittery Maine 03904. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation at https://www.pulmonaryfibrosis.org/ . Care for the Gagner family has been entrusted to the JS Pelkey and Son Funeral Home.
