Rene Bernard Carignan, 81, went to his rest on Monday, March 3, 2025, after a long battle with dementia.

Born on July 12, 1943, to Nazaire Carignan and Alice (Plante) Carignan.

He leaves a sister, Claire DeRosier; five children, Charles (Skip) Libby, Renee Lirette Sean Carignan, Derek Carignan, and Stacie Givetz; and his loving wife of 57 years, Julie Carignan.

He leaves behind nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, who were his pride and joy. They were all the love of his life.

He served in the Navy during the Cuban missile crisis, worked at the Navy Yard and a fall machine, and retired before devoting his time to his grandchildren's sports activities.

Besides family, he lived for his sports. He played softball, becoming state champs. He coached his son's baseball team and played in a father-son basketball tournament with his grandson, Will.

He was a devoted Red Sox, Celtics, and New York Giants Fan.

He will be deeply missed by all of us.

He was predeceased by his parents and a precious Grand Daughter Kirai.
