Richard
Cutts
Nov 12, 1954 — Jun 6, 2025
Richard Cutts, Jr., 70, passed away peacefully on June 6th at Frisbie Memorial Hospital after a year-long struggle with heart disease and lung cancer. In his last days, his wife Nina (married 45 years), and their daughters Josephine and Samantha, were constantly by his side; holding his hand, reading aloud and listening to music together. Rich attended Northfield High School and also Phillips Exeter Academy (class of 1973). His college education at the University of Vermont included a year abroad in Spain where he studied art and Spanish Literature, which turned into a lifelong passion for him. He loved Spain - its art and its language, but especially its people. He enjoyed and admired his co-workers in MarCom for Hewlett Packard and later Philips Electronics. Rich was an avid hockey player, gardener, cook, skier, jazz aficionado and reader. He baked incredible baguettes and pies. He loved working with his chainsaw in the woods behind his house, gathering and splitting firewood for the winter and battling invasive species like buckthorn. Rich was a kind and fun friend, super funny and quick to laugh. He will be deeply missed by his wife, children, grandchildren and friends.
