Richard J. Babe Dusseault, 83, of Winter Street died March 30, 2012 at the Hyder Family Hospice House. He was born in Somersworth, May 16, 1928 the son of Cleophas and Lena (Lemieux) Dusseault and raised by the Joseph Tanguay family. Babe was a US Army veteran, having served during the Korean War. After his military service, he worked in the shoe industry for many years. He was a soft-spoken man who thrived on family. He enjoyed playing cards and going for walks. Babe will be sorely missed by his wife of 58 years, Rita (Sylvain) Dusseault, his children and grandchildren. His sons and their wives, Donald and Cindy Dusseault, Ronald and Colette Dusseault, His daughters and their husbands, Theresa and Richard Boire and Sylvia and Michael Trueworthy all of Rochester. 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren also survive Babe. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rose Wickman and his grandson, Ricky Boire also his 14 siblings in both the Dusseault and Tanguay families. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-9 pm in Bernier Funeral Home 49 South St. Somersworth. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11am at St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish in St. Martin Church, Somersworth with Rev. Michael S. Taylor, pastor as celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Rochester. Contributions in Babe s memory may be made to the charity of one s choice. Arrangements are entrusted to Bernier Funeral Home.
