Eliot- Richard Mills, 67 of Eliot, ME passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Oct 28, 2017 at Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA. He was a warrior and showed grace and dignity during his many medical interventions over the last 18 years with renal cancer.
Richard was born in Newburyport, MA on March 27, 1950, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Mills of Newbury, MA and attended local schools.
He graduated from Wentworth Institute in 1970 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and spent his career at the Gear Plant at GE in Lynn, retiring in 2009.
He is survived by his loving wife, Judy Eldredge Mills, parents Anne and Walter Mills, daughters Melissa Bedard and husband, Mark and Michelle Faria and husband Brad, sister Dotty Allen and husband Ted, brother Tom Mills and wife Karen. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Marion Eldredge and brother and sister in-law, Brian and Susan Eldredge.The loves of his life are his grandchildren Evan and Emelyn Bedard and Zoey and Max Faria.He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and their children.
Richard most enjoyed spending time with his family, his hobbies include his hotrod, working on his model trains, traveling, Boston sports, kayaking and enjoying time with the ROMEOs.
He will be greatly missed by all of us who love him.
