Somersworth - Richard J. Pouliot, 83, of Somersworth passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at the Wentworth-Douglas Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was born on April 13, 1932 in Dover, New Hampshire, a son of the late Sylvio and Berthe (Vachon) Pouliot. Richard served his country in the Army National Guard from 1951-1954. He was formerly employed at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and also was proprietor of Tri-City Electronics, a TV repair shop in Somersworth. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Somersworth; was an avid gardener; loved woodworking and stained-glass projects. A son, Mike Pouliot, predeceased him in 2011. Survivors include his wife, Agnes "Tippy" Pouliot; his eight children, Gail Marshall and her husband, Dick; Joann Jenkins and her husband, Bryan; Elizabeth "Betty" Mayo and her husband, Bill; Adam Pouliot; Joseph Pouliot; Amy Landers and her husband, Steve; David Pouliot; and Karen Pouliot; a daughter-in-law, Debbi Pouliot; 15 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a sister, Laura Worthy and her husband, Frank. A time of visitation will be held from 6-8PM on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at the Bernier Funeral Home, 49 South Street, Somersworth. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 44 Tates Brook Road, Somersworth.
