Kittery- Robert B. Johnson, 88 of Kittery passed away , November 20, 2015 at York Hospital .
Born on April 10, 1927 in Saco, Maine, he was the son of the late Ossian and Florence Johnson. He attended local schools including Thornton Academy with the class of 1947, he furthered his education at the University of Ottawa . Robert proudly served his country as a member of the United Stats Navy serving aboard a mine sweep off the coast of Japan.

Robert had a thirty one
year career at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, retiring as a Toolmaker Foreman. Active in his community he served as an Eagle Scout Leader for many years. He accepted Christ as his lord and Savior in his early teens. He served as the President of the Gideons of the State of Maine for three years. He is a member of the Church at Spruce Creek in Kittery. He was a devoted Red Sox and Patriots fan and an accomplished private pilot enjoying many family flights out of Littlebrook Airpark in Eliot.

Robert Shared a forty five year marriage with his loving wife Lois B. Johnson who survives him, as well as his children Christopher B. Johnson, Victoria L. Davis, Daryl P. Johnson and Robin Q. Johnson, his three step children Dr. Beverly A. Morrow, Carlton E. Burnham, and Arlene E. Sherman, grandchilden, Jeremy and Gregory Davis, Stephen, Brandon, Jason, David and Daniel Johnson, Dianne Breska, Kimberly Baker, Danette Burnham, James Sherman Jr, Jennifer Sherman, Robert Morrow III and Carleton Morrow and his sister Marjorie Miller. He was predeceased by his son Todd G. Johnson in 2000 and a sister Dorothy Knight in 1974.

Friends are invited to visit with Roberts family on Monday November 30, 2015 from 11-Noon in the Church at Spruce Creek on Wilson Road in Kittery, where a memorial service will be celebrated at noon in the church, followed by refreshments in the church parish hall.
