Somersworth: Robert H. Bob Adams, 90, of Summer St. died October 22, 2011 at his home following a period of failing health. Born in Coventry, R.I. March 17, 1921 he was the son of Herbert and Lydia (Salois) Adams and was a graduate of Notre Dame School. Bob was a World War II veteran, having served in the Army. He had worked at Weiss-Lawrence Shoe, Davidson Rubber, Great Falls Bleachery and Market Basket. Bob enjoyed membership in the DAV of Newington, the VFW & Catholic war Vets of Somersworth and was a communicant of St. Martin Church. Bob was the husband of Bernadette (Turgeon) Adams. Members of his family include his wife of 66 years, Bernadette Adams, his sons, Paul (Gloria) Adams of Conover, NC, Roger (girlfriend Lauretta) Adams of Rollinsford and Richard (Karen) Adams of Somersworth, 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. His sister, Doris Barnes preceded him in death. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 pm in Bernier Funeral Home 49 South St. Somersworth. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11am at St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish in St. Martin Church, Somersworth with Rev. Michael S. Taylor, pastor as celebrant.
