Robert H. Gagnon Robert H. Gagnon passed away at Portsmouth Regional Hospital on May 26, 2012. Bob was born on July 25, 1924 in Sanford, Maine, the son of Edgar and Lea (B gin) Gagnon. He was a resident of Somersworth, NH for most of his life and a communicant of St. Martin Church. He graduated from St. Martin Academy in Somersworth, and he graduated from Somersworth High School, Class of 1941. During thirty-seven years of employment at General Electric, he served as supervisor in the plant facilities department, retiring as a purchasing agent. After his retirement, he and his wife traveled extensively throughout the United States and Europe. He was a devoted family man, sharing his love of opera, music, and theatre with them and attending many productions as a family. He served on the St. Martin School board. He is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Yvette L. (Aubert) Gagnon of Somersworth; his sons David and his wife Dawn of Pace, Florida, and Dr. Donald Gagnon of New Milford, Connecticut; and two grandchildren, Carlene (Gagnon) Jamros and her husband Lt. Raymond Jamros, USCG of East Sandwich, Massachusetts, and Craig Gagnon of Pace, Florida. He is also survived by beloved nieces, nephews, and in-laws Mrs. Rita Dubois of Somersworth and Mr. and Mrs. Roland Aubert of Daytona Beach Shores, Florida. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother Gerald Gagnon. At his request, there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Martin Church in Somersworth at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 1, 2012.
