YORK – Robert "Bob" Johnson, 76, of York, died unexpectedly Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at his home in York, Maine.

Born in Portsmouth, NH on April 13, 1946, he was the son of the late Robert and Hilda Johnson of Kittery Point, Maine.

Bob is survived by his wife of 53 years, Donna Johnson of York; son Michael Johnson and his wife Krista of York, Maine; and daughter Tammi Legassey and her husband David of Pensacola, Florida.  Grandchildren Samuel Johnson, Sarah Johnson, Arden Cobb, Anna Granat, Evan Legassey and great granddaughter Autumn Cobb.

Bob graduated from R.W. Traip Academy and was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard for 6 years before beginning his career as a meat cutter, later retiring from over 40 years of hard work to spend time with his family.  "Papa" enjoyed baseball, fishing, attending car shows, his extensive die cast car collection, the Blue Angels, feeding the birds and spending time with his pugs and grandchildren.

Services will be held at JS Pelkey Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 22, 2022.  Visitation will begin at 10am followed by the service at 12pm.
