SOUTH BERWICK, ME- Robert L. "Bob" Kennedy Jr., 69 of South Berwick, passed away unexpectedly Saturday Jan. 20, 2018. Bob was born in Boston, MA, on October 5, 1948 to Robert L. Kennedy Sr. and Eleanor (Cannon) Kennedy.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Marie (Paul) Kennedy of South Berwick; daughter Christy and husband Scott Walker of Kittery, ME, their daughters Lauren, Madison and Emma; daughter Liza Kennedy and husband Dale Drew of Chelmsford, MA; and daughter Jennifer and husband Daniel Morse of Chelmsford, MA, and their sons Brennan, Mason, and Kolby.
Bob is also survived by his sister Mary-Louise Kennedy of Roslindale, MA, and her daughter Lisa; his brother John Kennedy and wife Lori of Aurora, CO; his sister Patricia Bauer of Hyde Park, MA, and her son Paul; and his brother in law Peter Paul of Florida, and his wife Rachel.
Bob was a graduate of New England School of Broadcasting. Passionate about helping others, he was involved in many charities, most recently Meals on Wheels in which he was a dedicated volunteer.
Bob's outgoing personality and wittiness lit up the room wherever he went. He made everyone laugh, had vast knowledge that allowed him to engage in conversation with anyone. He enjoyed golf, cooking, New England sports, reading, politics, daily crossword puzzles, celebrating with his family, playing cards, listening to Doo Wop, and attending his grandchildren's sporting and school events.
He is predeceased by his nephew Eric Bauer, as well as his grandsons Nathan and Stephen.
SERVICES: Visitation hours will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday January 26, 2018, at J.S. Pelkey Funeral Home, 125 Old Post Rd, Kittery, ME. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m., at St. Mary's Church, 25 Third St, Dover, NH. An interment will be held in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to Meals on Wheels, Southern Maine Agency on Aging, 136 US Route 1, Scarborough, ME 04074.
