Somersworth, NH – Robert Masse, 64, passed away Friday, June 12 th , 2020, at Massachusetts General Hospital following a period of failing health.
Born in Rochester, NH, on June 30 th , 1955, he was the son of Gerard Masse, Delia Croteau, and step Father Richard Carr.
Robert graduated from Somersworth High School in 1974 where he was an avid football player. Following graduation he joined the United States Marine Corps. He served for four years and was honorably discharged with rank of Sgt. He was close to retirement after almost 20 years of employment at the Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Raymond NH where he had many friends.
Robert enjoyed most in life spending time with his family and working in his yard. Robert liked camping, fishing, playing a game of pool, riding his motorcycle and relaxing next to a campfire. He will always be remembered as a comedian who really enjoyed life and laughing at his own jokes. A frequent quote was "I crack myself up".
Robert had many good memories and stories of experiences with all of his close friends and family. He always liked to reminisce about the "good old days". He loved his wife more than anything in this world and would do anything for her.
Robert touched so many people and will be forever missed.
He is survived by his wife Betty (Goodrow) Masse of Somersworth, NH, son Jeremy and wife Shannon of Berwick, ME, daughter Amber of Somersworth, NH, 4 grandchildren, Zachary, Hailey, Jaden and Riley, sister Simone Pozdzliak, sister Denise LaPointe and husband Ron, father-in-law Isaac Goodrow, sister-in-law Kristie Marshall, sister-in-law Kathy Gravel and husband Dennis along with 8 nieces and nephews.
Celebration of life to follow with immediate family. Care of the Masse Family has been entrusted to Bernier/J S Pelkey and Son Funeral Home.
