Greenland - Robert (Bob) L. Tobey, 78, beloved husband of Joanne (Barnes) Tobey, passed suddenly and peacefully on May 12, 2018, with his family lovingly by his side.

Bob was born on August 21, 1939, son of Neil H. Tobey and Catherine M. (McNeil) Tobey of Portsmouth, NH. He is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years as well as his daughter, Kelly Tobey, his son John Tobey and his wife Tiffany (Roggenkamp) Tobey, his son Matthew Tobey and several adored nieces, nephew, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Bob thoroughly enjoyed his family and friends.  He particularly enjoyed racing, starting many years ago ice racing on Alton Bay and was affectionately known as "Uncle Bob" for many years working on pit crews at Lee USA Speedway alongside his son Matt and nephew Keith.

Bob was a proud member of the Creek A.C. and the Elks Lodge No. 97 for over 40 years.

Services : Calling hours will be Thursday, May 17, 2018 from 5-8 PM at J.S. Pelkey Funeral Home, 125 Old Post Road,  Kittery, ME 03904.  A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 11AM Friday, May 18, 2018 with burial and reception to follow.
