Robert P.
Wyman
Oct 26, 1943 — Jan 15, 2025
Robert P. (Bob) Wyman died peacefully on January 15, 2025, at Waterbury Hospital, CT, surrounded by friends and family. He was fortunate to have visits from loved ones both in person and by telephone before his passing.
Bob was born on October 26, 1943, to Harry N. and Barbara M. Wyman of Kittery, Maine.
He grew up in Kittery and graduated from Traip Academy in 1962. He married Cheryl (Whitney) Wyman and they had two daughters. He received an Accounting Degree from McIntosh College and spent over 24 years at Seaward Corporation. After raising his daughters in Rye, NH, he moved back to Kittery. He proudly served as a Trustee for the Kittery Water District for 25 years and became a Maine licensed real estate broker.
You could never go anywhere in the Kittery area without Bob running into someone he knew. He was incredibly social and had a knack for remembering people and their names. Those who knew him joked that Bob would always be the first one to arrive at a party and the last one to leave. He was close to his family and had a group of lifelong friends that continued to hold weekly coffee gatherings until he moved to CT to be close to his daughters.
Bob loved to golf at the Portsmouth Country Club and later at Pease. He also loved to ski. He enjoyed family ski trips to Sugarloaf and ski trips with his grandchildren to Saddleback. When he slowed down he loved to watch the New England Patriots.
Bob looked forward to trips to Wilson's Mills, Maine. He was always happy to dog sit, stack wood, mow the lawn, or relax on the screened-in porch chatting with his brother, Kenny. In the summer he would be accompanied by his daughters and grandchildren for a week of hiking, trips across the Canadian border, and family dinners.
He is survived by his daughters, Tiffany and Shannon, sons-in-law, Jim Stanton and Jim Anctil, grandchildren, Jameson and Harrison Stanton and Callista Anctil, his brothers, Harry and Ken, his sister, Barbara, as well as many sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is predeceased by his parents, his sister Edith, and his brothers Tom and Richard (Dick).
A memorial visitation will be held on March 1, 2025, at the J.S. Pelkey Funeral Home, 125 Old Post Road, Kittery, Maine, at 11:00 AM, immediately followed by a service at 12:00 PM.
