Obituary

South Berwick - Roger N. Boston, 82, of Woodland Hills died peacefully on Monday August 24, 2015, at York Hospital surrounded by loved ones. A longtime resident of South Berwick, Maine, he was born on June 26, 1933, and was the son of Elmer and Olive (Hilton) Boston. On June 26, 1954 he married his loving wife Blanche (Demers) Boston and together they made their home in South Berwick, raising their family of 7 children. In the early years, Roger and Blanche loved to go dancing with close friends at the American Legion. They also loved family vacations to Greenville, Maine and lakeside camping on Bauneg Beg Lake. Roger enjoyed time in the garden with his brother, his time spent with his many grand-children and great grand-children, and especially loved hunting in the fall with his sons. Roger retired in June of 1995, after 30 years at Prime Tanning of Berwick and was also a former member of the South Berwick Fire Department. Roger is survived by Three sons, Roger and Karen Boston of Dover, Randy and Rachelle Boston of Berwick, Maine, Robert and Christine Boston of Nottingham; Four daughters, Susan and Robert Demaris of Florida, Debbie and Del Wilkins of Illinois, Linda and William Spinney of Kittery, Maine and Lori and Jared Hichens Jr. of Eliot, Maine; a Brother Elmer and wife Pricilla of North Berwick, Maine; 22 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to York Hospital, 15 Hospital Dr, York, ME 03909 or to the "Tyler Spinney Memorial Sound System" First Congregational Church of Eliot UCC, 1361 State Rd. Graveside services for family and close friends will be held on Friday, August 28, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Eliot, Maine. Immediately following the graveside service a Celebration of Rogers life will be held for family and close friends at MacPherson Hall at Eliot Congregational Church.
