Roger F. Leclerc, 91, of Somersworth died June 2, 2013 A lifelong resident, he was born here November 25, 1921 the son of Amedee and Delia (Dousseault) Leclerc. A veteran of World War II, Roger served in the US Navy. He was employed at General Electric, retiring after 34 years. Roger enjoyed membership in the American Legion #69, V.F.W. # 4485 both of Somersworth and the D.A.V. #4 of Newington, also the Catholic War Veterans. In his younger years, Roger was a champion boxer. He was a communicant of Holy Trinity Church. His wife, Elsie (Drury) died in 2002. Members of the family include his daughter, Maureen Jousset of Somerset, N.J., his sons, Dennis Leclerc of Somersworth and James Hussey of Cassaett, S.C., his sister, Jan English of Fl., 2 grandchildren, Todd Jousset, Courtney Hayes, James Hussey, Jr., also his great grandchildren, Zachary and Miranda Jousset. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8 p.m. in Bernier Funeral Home 49 South St. Somersworth. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11:00 a.m.in Holy Trinity Church, High St. Somersworth with Rev. Michael Taylor as celebrant.
