Obituary

Kittery- Roger William "Red" Morse, 93 of Kittery Maine passed away on April 24, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Eliot on July 30, 1921 he was a son of Harold A. and Pauline J. Morse of Eliot. Following his graduation from Eliot High School he enlisted in the United States Navy during World War Two serving as an aviation machinist mate on the USS Nitro. Roger's career included working as a vending machine mechanic, bus driver, lobsterman, handyman and a fine finish carpenter. Roger was well known for his contributions to the Town of Eliot. His craftsmanship can be seen throughout the town. One of his proudest moments was being featured in the magazine " Birds and Blooms" for his handcrafted bird houses. He is survived by his son Paul Morse of Belfair Washington, Thomas Morse of Severn Maryland, Norman Morse of Farmington, NH, their Spouses and his daughter Cathy Morse of Eliot, Maine, several neices and nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brothers Arthur E. Morse and Norman E. (Skip) Morse and his wives Grace Hamilton, and Grace Chatigny. Freinds may visit with Roger's family on Thursday from 6-8 pm in the JS Pelkey Funeral Home 125 Old Post Road Kittery Maine 03904, where a funeral will be celebrated on Friday at 11am. Care for the Morse family has been entrusted to the JS Pelkey Funeral Home.
