Roger Vachon passed away on April 6 after a period of falling health. Roger was born on August 31, 1940, in South Berwick, Maine, the son of Thomas Vachon and Lilian Tourigny. He lived in Somersworth most of his life and graduated from Somersworth High School in the Class of 1958. Roger served in Vietnam for two years and, following his return, worked at General Electric for 32 years.

Roger is survived by his wife Denise, daughter Michelle, son Steve, son-in-law Patrick Breden, grandson Ryan, great-grandson Gaelin, his sister-in-law Jacqueline Letourneau, and nephews Thomas and Derek Chagnon and Danny Létourneau.

He is preceded by his sister Sylvia and brother Dennis.

There will be visitation hours at Bernier Funeral Home on Sunday, April 12th, from 4 PM-6 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint Martin Church in Somersworth on Monday, April 13th at 10:30 AM, and burial at Mount Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to Wentworth Hospice Care in Somersworth in support of their excellent care.
