Obituary

Somersworth - Roland L. Landry, 87, of Somersworth passed away peacefully at Langdon Place of Dover on Friday, March 22, surrounded by family and friends.  He was born and raised in Somersworth, the son of Joseph ("Joe") and Louise Landry.

He was a life-long communicant of St. Martin's Church and worked at General Electric for 39 years. A devoted fan of the Red Sox, Roland regularly attended both home games and spring training in Florida with family and friends. He also enjoyed family outings and weekly card games with his Croteau family relatives. He enjoyed golfing and travel, and retired to Florida in the winter months, his retirement dream. An accomplished carpenter, Roland undertook and was always at his happiest when working on home improvement projects and also assisting others with theirs.

Roland is pre-deceased by his beloved wife Beatrice ("Bea") Landry of 64 years, and is survived by his three sons:  Bill of Charleston, SC, Ron and wife Linda of Naples, Florida, and David and wife Pam of Somersworth. He also is blessed with four grand-children and four great-grandchildren.

Services: A time of visitation will take place Wednesday, March 27 th , from 5p-7p, at the Bernier Funeral Home, 49 South Street, Somersworth, NH. A funeral mass will take place the following day, Thursday March 28 th , at 1030a, at St Ignatius of Loyola Parish St. Martin Church, 120 Maple Street, Somersworth, NH.
