Somersworth - Ronald Amie Boucher, 72, of Buffumsville Rd died at Frisbie Memorial Hospital on June 26, 2015 with his family by his side, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. He was born August 26, 1942, in Dover, NH, the son of Joseph and Jeanette (LeBlanc) Boucher. He graduated from Somersworth High School and retired from General Electric where he worked as a Tool & Die Maker for 27 years. He served in the National Guard in Somersworth for 4 years. Ron was a member of the Elk's for 32 years as well as being a life member of Sanford/Springvale Fish and Game Association. Ron's hobbies included hunting, coin collecting, making barn style mail boxes and tending to his immaculate pool. He was an avid gardener and truly enjoyed working with his brother in their family garden for many, many years. He was also quite the handy man and enjoyed puttering around his home. A long time convertible car aficionado, he loved to cruise in his Miata with the top down. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Christine (Waldron) Boucher; two daughters Roxanne Kelleher of Fernandina Beach, FL and Yvette Kalway and her husband Craig of Madbury, NH; Three sons, Edward Boucher and his wife Sonya of Dover, NH, Ronald Boucher II and his wife Sharon of Dover, NH and Matthew Boucher of Somersworth, NH; A sister, Dorothy Lewis and her husband Robert Lewis of Dover, NH; 8 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Ronald is predeceased by his parents and his brother John Boucher of Rollinsford, NH. Visiting hours will be held from 5-7PM on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at the Bernier Funeral Home, 49 South Street, Somersworth. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at St. Martin Church of St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish, 120 Maple Street, Somersworth. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Somersworth. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 166 S. River Road #210, Bedford, NH 03110.
