Somersworth- Ronald "Ron" Paul Locke, 69 of Somersworth died peacefully in his sleep on December 7th after battling a series of long illnesses.
Ron was a life-long seacoast resident and graduate of Portsmouth High School. Ron was a signalman in the Navy on the aircraft carrier WASP, worked for 30 years at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and was a member of the American Legion. Ron loved the Yankees, music, westerns, and being surrounded by friends and family.
Ron leaves behind his wife Sue, daughters Jessica, Alison, and Amanda, granddaughter Ana, sons-in-law Peter, Steve, and Steve, Sister Nancy, Brother Dick, brothers-in-law Steve, Rob and Dennis, sisters-in-law Sharon and Ginny, and many nieces and nephews. Ron was a fighter until the end and will be greatly missed.
Services: Calling hours will be from 5-7pm, today, December 10th at Bernier Funeral Home, 49 South Street, Somersworth. A funeral service will be at 11 am, Friday, December 11th at the funeral home. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, donations can be in Ron's name to the Wentworth Home Care and Hospice, 121 Broadway Suite 115 Dover, NH 03820. The nurses took amazing care of Ron over the years and their help and support will not be forgotten.
